Graceful I Am Not

Ra and I had agility class last night - our first since the Halloween trial.  At one point our instructor took me aside and suggested I watch the video from our first run (Saturday) again.  Here it is....

Patty, our instructor, pointed out that my arms are flailing all over the place and that could very well have been why Ra went so wild and had such a crappy run.  Hmmmm.  Watching it again, I am strongly reminded of this.

Anyone else think my running style bears a strong resemblance to Phoebe's?

  1. HAHA! It's only on your "out-run!" At least you don't have Phoebe's legs.

  2. I'm just grateful that Ra doesn't feel the need to pretend she doesn't know me!

  3. Yeah, that's important in the ring! Ra just pretends to ignore you everywhere else. :)

  4. Funny! I do see a resemblance :-)

If it makes you feel any better, my instructor has pretty much the same thing to say about me. She is constantly reminding me not to flail my arms, not to over-exaggerate how I indicate the jumps, and to CALM DOWN! And sometimes I even do a little unconcious hop as I pass a jump with Jimmy as if I am jumping it with him. I don't even feel myself do it, but it sure looks funny on video!

  5. I remember a riding instructor once told me I looked like a Raggedy Ann doll flopping around on the back of the horse....Some of us are just a little "looser in the joints" than others ;)

  7. Your post cracked me up. I had forgotten that episode of Friends...

I find it painful to watch videos of myself running in agility. When I'm in the ring, I feel like I'm really moving, then I watch the video and it appears that I'm just doing a leisurely trot. A runner I am not!
